Drainage

   The Centre for Excellence’s Drainage Inventory and Drainage Maintenance module contains a comprehensive asset inventory and a maintenance management module that includes workflow.

   This application captures drainage infrastructure assets such as drainage pits, pipes, headwalls, culverts, detention basins, creeks, tail-in, tail-out and table drains. The module contains a condition assessment and asset valuation system, together with inspection and maintenance activity recording.

   In addition to the central information server, this application has a standalone field inspection and maintenance recording application that includes embedded workflow routines. The field inspection unit contains a standalone database that is synchronised with the central information server. The field inspection unit can register condition assessments and maintenance requirements in the field. The required maintenance is then prioritised and assigned to a particular work group for the undertaking of the maintenance. The field unit then uploads these maintenance requirements to the central server which distributes the maintenance requests to the responsible work groups.

   To enable performance measurement of the drainage network and hence the upgrade requirements and costs to be determined, The Centre for Excellence has integrated ILSAX, Australia’s most widely used hydrology model into the Drainage Inventory module.

   Drainage Inventory and Drainage Maintenance is one component of a suite of integrated applications developed by The Centre for Excellence for the Local Government, Building and Manufacturing industries.
