Waste Management
The Centre for Excellence’s Green Waste module is a comprehensive system for managing all types of refuse bins including garbage bins, recycling bins, green waste bins and cleanup services. The application tracks the use of services and the number of times the residents avail themselves of a set number of free services and the resultant charges for over servicing. The pickup day, bin ID, the pickup zone, the day of collection and the size of bin are all recorded for each type of service.
Included is a flexible questionnaire system to sample industry and the residents in respect to a range of questions not only in respect waste or bin collection performance but also signage, roof water disposal, storm water, chemical storage handling and storage, liquid waste generation etc.
Waste*Manager generated letter runs for pickups, the pickup runs for each type of waste and the contact detail for strata unit management. Communication between the Council and the clients is recorded and triggers maintain the records restricting changes to history files. Only an Oracle RDBMS can guarantee high level security.
Design Philosophy
The Centre for Excellence's Waste*Manager has been designed to provide a flexible system for tracking waste services and the composition and analysis of the questionnaires generated by the Council to access community data.
Easy-to-use screens with logical field sequences, validation and a fully Windows GUI environment facilitate the capturing and management of application developments. A comprehensive reporting system and ad-hoc query abilities allows user to access information stored in the system, quickly and easily.
